Monaco Ducks: Sustainable Entrepreneurship – new perspectives in a challenging world

Times are challenging and many things are changing faster than expected. Right now more than ever before, young entrepreneurs have the chance to change structures, implement new ideas and tackle urgent issues.

We want to take a look behind the scenes of an exciting German start-up that has implemented the vision of sustainable entrepreneurship in a very concrete way. In our Online Round Table Monaco Ducks: Sustainable Entrepreneurship – new perspectives in a challenging world on July 15, 2021 2:00-3:30 pm CET, we will be talking to Carl Warkentin, 6th generation member of the family business SMS group and founder of the climate neutral sneaker manufacturer MONACO DUCKS.

Behind the brand, which Carl and his business partner founded in 2017, is the vision to develop the first 360° fully sustainable fashion brand. From the beginning, the focus was on the use of natural materials, 100 % made in Italy, traditional craftsmanship and a relationship with production partners and customers based on trust. With fairness for people, animals and the environment and a corresponding transparency, MONACO DUCKS wants to make a real contribution to environmental protection.

In our Online Round Table we will be talking with Carl about

•        his vision of a sustainable, fair and profitable economy

•        why it is so important to grow together as a community in order to achieve the company’s goals

•        what role one’s family/family business actually plays in this.

The event will be moderated by Dominique Otten-Pappas, who many of you know in her role as Academic Expert for FBN International. Dominique is an active board member of FBN Germany and was NxG Leader in the German chapter for many years. As we belive that this topic is relevant for the wider network we are happy to open it to all FBN chapters. Let´s continue to bring our NxG community together!
